Issa Boulos composed several piano pieces, exploring various genres and techniques all at once. At times, it seemed mischievous and rebellious as it ridiculed some genres of music and exploited other sounds that often seemed to be associated with cabaret, jazz, baroque, courtly bourguies contexts, and or contemporary 2oth century experimentations. In his music, Boulos reflects on his background, where certain musical narratives that seem standard offer other perspectives on the human condition that are invisible. To him, normality was and still is a subjective trajectory. Born and raised in an area where diverse sounds can always be translated into socioeconomic displays, his rebelliousness forged a new way of creating a collective sound that reflects an identity immersed in the various aspects and contradictions of the human condition. Let Me Pass is one that he wrote in 1996.
